GPPS-evo

The GPPS-evo is a laboratory gas pressure proving system with the ability to monitor up to four gas sensors.

The gas pressure proving is by Medem’s patented method of dynamically measuring the pressure differential across the solenoid valve when performing a downstream integrity check. This method stops nuisance tripping of the gas supply. The addition of the LCD makes this system very easy to use providing clear messages giving real information rather than just LED indications.

Description

Flexibility

The GPPS-evo is designed to perform a downstream integrity check of pipework and appliances which could be left open to atmosphere, such as a laboratory.

In-line with the updated legislation of BB101 and IGEM/UP11/Edition 3 the system can also monitor the CO2 level when fitted with a Medem detector displaying the PPM.

CO2 is considered a primary indicator of air quality, with the latest legislation setting maximum limits for levels within educational facilities.

Carbon Monoxide, Natural Gas and Oxygen depletion detectors can also be monitored.

An auto-stop timer is incorporated to help prevent unauthorised use of the gas out-of-hours.

There are several ‘engineer functions’ which can be used to aid in the set-up of the system.

Product Dimensions 212mm x 183mm x 97mm
Gas Detection The panel can except a maximum of four detectors. The current range is:
Methane/Natural Gas (CH4), Propane (C3H8), Carbon Monoxide (CO) Carbon Dioxide (CO2) and Oxygen (O2) Depletion
Alarm Types Fixed low and high alarm peak levels, high alarm activation will latch and isolate the connected gas valve.
Peak Alarms Methane/Natural Gas (CH4) & Propane (C3H8)
• 5% low alarm
• 10% high alarmCarbon Monoxide (CO)
• 20PPM Low Alarm
• 30PPM High AlarmCarbon Dioxide (CO2)
• 2800PPM Low Alarm
• 5000PPM High Alarm

Oxygen (O2) Depletion
• 19.5% Pre Alarm
• 18% Full Alarm

Warranty Medem’s industry leading five-year warranty is a demonstration of the company’s confidence in the quality and design of our products.

This applies to the main panel; gas detectors carry a two-year warranty.

Service The panel and sensors must be re-commissioned and tested every 12 months as a minimum but with consideration of every 6 months dependant on gas type and environment.
