The FTIP-1 is a fire test isolation panel made by Medem.
All Medem control panels have the capacity to be connected to a fire panel, so in the event of an alarm, our systems can isolate the gas supply.
Although a vital safety feature it can prove inconvenient when testing and servicing the fire alarm system.
The FTIP-1 is designed to sit between our standard gas control systems and the fire alarm panel. When activated it will isolate the two systems from each other allowing the fire alarm to be tested without interrupting the gas supply.
This is a key controlled and timed (max 45 min) isolation, that if not manually reset will do so automatically after the period set during installation.

This applies to the main panel. Where we commission an installed system the warranty is extended from five to ten years. At the time of commissioning, photos and gas pressure readings are recorded along with other relevant details of the installation. A 24-hour helpline number and the serial number is attached with the panel and all details are then entered on to the Medem database. |
